Partnerships That Matter: ALERRT & Broaddus Defense
Everyone agrees something needs to be done about the active shooter violence plaguing our country. We can go back and forth over legislative solutions but the lawmaking process is inefficient and impossibly slow.
The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program at Texas State University provides the best research-based active response shooter training in the nation. ALERRT was named the National Standard in Active Shooter Response Training by the FBI, setting the highest standard for training, strategies, and performance.
When it comes to making physical spaces safer and people ready to assist until the professional help arrives, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel: ALERRT knows what to do and how to do it.
But unless you are state, local, or tribal law enforcement, you will not be covered by the Department of Justice’s grant that funds ALERRT training. Fortunately, this is where we come in.
Broaddus Defense is the sole source provider of ALERRT-authorized curriculum.
If you are a school, church, college, bank, entertainment venue, transportation supplier, military installation –a representative of a place where people gather—you can receive the same ALERRT product through Broaddus Defense.
“We work closely with Broaddus Defense to ensure that all of the course deliveries meet the exacting standards of our organization,” said Dr. J. Pete Blair, Executive Director of ALERRT.
Jeff Broaddus, President of Broaddus Defense stated, “Current events driving a marked increase in demand for ALERRT’s life-saving training make this a common-sense partnership. We are able to stand in the gap for those who do not qualify for grant funding or require delivery sooner than the DOJ grants can support.”
When seconds count and help is minutes away, you can Be The One to make a difference and save lives.
